The Suggesting Code

Art Installation “THE SUGGESTIN CODE”
Open-Air Exhibition of Advertisement Posters

MESSAGE:
The intellect and the individual values of a human are to a high extent molded by the culture and the art, midst of which one lives and grows. Nowadays Advertisement can be looked upon as the “8th Art”! It cultivates a new culture and creates new public values.  In the 21st century, Advertisement has a broader meaning than just making us buy products. When advertisements are creative and intelligent, they can affect human culture in a positive way.

We live in a century full of attempts for mass persuasion. When we switch on the radio or the TV, when we open
a magazine or a newspaper, somebody starts persuading us to buy his products; to make us adopt what he considers right, correct or beautiful. In the advertisements, the producers of almost the same products (such as tooth paste or washing powder), spend a fortune to persuade us to buy the good, wrapped in their packages. It is unnecessary the influence of Advertisement to be conspicuous – it can be absolutely subtle. Even when they do not try to sell something directly to us, they can still influence our perception….”
